insurance ... HELP

  Mk4 .:R32
i have a policy with tescos for my dynamique for £1,498 on my own name with ncb. in the policy it states that the car comes standard with alloy wheels, i have bought kei racing wheels and put them on my car, do i have to tell tescos this as alloys are covered in the policy already? if i have a crash will my kei wheels be replaced with dynamique originals or will my insurance become viod? wont they charge extra for aftermarket wheels anyway? plus how should i tell them about my airfilter and sport suspension? i know my big mouth will get the better of me and i might say something wrong and my insurance ending up sky high for the mods as i am only 18.
my dad says that i should ring up in a false name and ask if the company covers for mods first? and what prices they do? should i?
i need to get this sorted asap as i have been driving around for 2 days with the mods not declared.

help appreciated sorry for the essay hope it makes sense lol

air filter i wouldnt bother with, that can be ripped out if you crash etc... suspension id say you have "uprated" as the old ones died. They dont increase performance or anything.

The new wheels, just say you replaced the old ones with some others non standard.

be honest and it will pay off in the long run.

Give them a call straight away, as as it stands at the min - your not covered at all, reason being is you've modded it & not declared it, your policy is for a standard car & it's not standard any more.

okies well im with tesco mate although i have 1years no claims and a lilttle bit older but i put 15inch alloys on my 1.2 an induction kit lowered it 60mm and a few other things and the induction kit was a rip off tesco wanted 100 pound extra for it so i told them not to bother (obviously didnt fit it:S) the alloys where like 40quid extra for the year and the lowering springs 20quid extra! dont cost much mate but like people say on here if you can afford the mod you should be able to afford the insurance. call them up and just bite the bullet its better than crashing and losing your car and getting fucked at court!

like this geezar said as well dont bother telling them about the induction kit!!!!!!!! it can pull off easily and if you just have the black hose from the orignal airfilter in your car you can snap it off and put it back on easy peasy if you have a crash
