Insurance - pay for mods

  Black 182 + Recaros

Im with Admiral insurance. They will insure the various mods I have, but they wont pay for those mods if I write the car off.

Are there any decent companies that will payout for the car and the mods ?

Theyll increase your premium, but give you nothing in return. Urrrrgh:devilish:

im with CIS too

i have owned 3 moddedcars, and had 1 break in and one smash - not my fault

paid out both times

very very good company imo

I have now unfortunately has to claim on my Liverpool Victoria insurance for a total loss of a very modified clio, and we negotiated the price from a standard vehicle replacement price to one which was a fairer representation of the modifications done, obviously if you spend £5k on mods you aint gonna get £5k bach if you crash, but you may get £1500 or more, its down to negotiations in the end most of the time - but I must say, Liverpool Vitoria are VERY good at handling claims and mine went through like a dream instead of the nightmare I was expecting it to be - Thank you L.V.

Thanks mate. At least you were able to negotiate. My company would simply refuse to pay for any mods. Not very good really.

the CIS im with will cover the value of mods.

^ditto, go for C.I.S, only thing is they require you to write letters about your mods instead of just phoning them.
