Insurance question

Ok this isnt your usual whos the cheapest bollox...

My RT is insured until mid July with LV. This is my first year of insurance on the car so I dont have any NCD yet. I basically want to get a quicker car, possibly a valver or similar, but LV wont insure me cos Im 20. They will only give me cover on a car of that insurance group when Im 21 which will be 7th July.

Ok, so if I get a valver and get my insurance through someone like Elephant, will they take into account my 8 months claim free insurance with LV, or do I have to start from a clean slate again?

Or should I just forget all about fast cars until Im 21...

Youll have to start from scratch

Wait until the current policy is finished, then change cars and get a new policy with Elephant. Simple

Insurance for a 21 year old on a 16v with 1 years NCB is gonna be a hell of a lot less than a 20 year old with no NCB !! Theres no question of what to do !! just wait !! Youve had 20 years without a 16v im sure a few more months wont hurt !!
