insurance reccomendation

hi all, got my insurance renewal from tescos insurance, premium had gone down by £150 which was pleasing but just to see if i could get it cheaper, i put my details in on confused.com and saved £300 over last years quote! through kwik-fit insurance! well worth a look if you're insurance is due!

i really dont understand insurance, through confused, tesco says they wont insure me, even though im already (till tomorrow at 12) insured with them, and have been for the last year, and on the phone when i phoned to barter, they couldnt price match their own online quote!! maybe they should stick to bread and onions! and one company wanted £1200!

Tell me about it....my mates were paying a grand on a valver and here's me forking out for a 1.2 lol...

Lol....was one of the cheapest quotes i got.....

I forgot to add that i had 3 points, no ncb and the car was modded which might add to the high price :clown:

Ah rite , still alot tho!

im lucky enough to have a garage, that chopped £300 off some quotes! my fave so far was when i had a 3 litre cortina, they wanted £4300!! i just laughed down the phone at them and hung up!!

I have just insured my 182 with Privelege for £399 which beat my renewal from Adrian Flux by £135 for the same level of cover, Flux then said they could beat Privelege by £9 but my excess would have to go up and the underwriter would be Highway(robbery), i did try not to laugh.

What also swayed my decision was that the customer service no. for Privelege is an 0845 no. and A Flux is an 0870 no., also the fee for mid term adjustments is around £15 for privelege and £25 for A Flux., time for a change.
