Insurance renewal advice

Hi Guys,

right renewal time, Im 21, 2 yrs NCB, 6 points fo SP30 and SP60, live in Hertfordshire, 2002 Clio Dynamique 1.2 16v. Lowered 60mm, colour coded and induction kit. £2000 worth of ICE>

Gone through the big list of insurers off the insurance post and got quotes from a fair few including both the ones that we get discount with,

Renewal price from Liv Victoria is £780 anyone reckon I could get cheaper with any other companies or should I just count my lucky stars??!!

Main hard point seems to be getting the ice covered altho so far only green light have even been able to get close and they could only do 500 or so of ice!!

Cheers for your thoughts

TBH, I would have thought you would get it cheaper than that, depending on the cover you want.

Mine is £700 TPFT, 1 yrs NCB and 5 points (cd10).

A lot of the insurers wont cover that value of ICE, cos its too high risk, its far too easy for ice to be grabbed and nicked without much prob. I think the standard is £400.

Have you tried HIC, they seem to be pretty good for younger / modded drivers, thats who I am with and they bat any quote by a good couple of hundred quid.

Try elephant and add your mam (if she drives or some other female) as a second driver. Often drops it 15-20%. Works with a lot of other insurers.
