just got on your rents name. would only be about £300

  BMW M135i
And then you won't get any NCB and its fronting, not worth the hassle its a catch-22 mainly because of the lack of ncb buildup won't make it any cheaper in the future.

People have this great idea of going on their parents insurance but it just bites them in the ass later on. Theres no money saved by doing it.

  Integra Type-R DC2
Drive a 1.2 dynamique. Lowered and alloys. £500 excess and £50 glass excess. Pay a £250 deposit now, then £96 every month. Only a bit less than what I was paying on my previous Norwich Union 'Pay as you drive' policy.

  BMW M135i
Fvck me! I payed the same money for my 1.6 with more mods with flux! Actually come to think of it I had 2ncb, shows the difference it makes though. Parents policy great idea yeh :dapprove:.

  Integra Type-R DC2
Yeah, well. Insurance is the con of the century. Ill probably just stay with my 1.2 for a good few years. I doubt I could insure anything better.

  Integra Type-R DC2
Any mods declared? I also get legal cover and a courtesy car with the policy though, so that might be why theres such a huge difference.

in march i paid £700 on my 1.2 with all mods declared, £40 glass, 1years NCB, 18yo, and fully comp all in my own name.................should go down again when i renew in march, il be 19yo with 2yr NCB

Tell me about it, paying £1800 for the 172 with the same details. Oh the joys of being young :(, still its soooo worth it :D. Flux were one of the only people who'd touch me.

  m-tec bmw 325 ci spo
im getting stung with my insurance 21 4 years driven 1 years no claims 172 greenlight 975 fully comp

Who you with f0xy? I probably should of shopped about a bit more.

  Ultra Red Clio 197

But thats incorrect IMO

As i had no insurance bonus when was 21 and insurance on the 172 was only £900

So would have cost me an awfull lots more to start building my claims up at 17 than it would sarting at 21.

  Not a poxy Renault
Just want to rub it in - i insured my 182 the other day for £300, the drawback is that I'm now 30!

norwich union.............they quoted me a grand online, i got the quote reference number, phoned them up and told the guy about the mods etc......he babbled on for a bit and then said if you pay it in one go today i can do it for £700.........so i paid it!

  Works...kind of...
My Clio 1.2 cost me £330 with breakdown cover 6 months ago. :)

Goes to £250 in May, but I think I'll change my car about that time as I will be able to insure a group 16 car for £500.

1.1 Citroen C2, Lowered, Alloys, on my own come renewal at 20 with 1 year NCB ill be paying £600, which compared to £900 isnt too bad. Also got a 3 year restricted licence.

Eh?! The bloke on the phone told me that they wouldnt touch me becasue my car was lowered! Your cars beyond lowered and your insurance is cheaper! I swear they must just make it up as they go along.

simple answer is they do, thery can insure any one they want to it what ever price they think they can get away with. i've got a un modded 1.2 dynamique, 20 with 1 claim which RAC says is non fault but because its not settled taxi who hit me is blanking insurance and lawyers counts a s a black mark against me. and i'm paying 1300 with tesco, NU wanted £2500 on a group 3 car!! wtf?
roll on feb when i'm 21, should be about £600

same happened to me! after a certain time scale it will automatically go against the driver who hasnt contacted insurers

  RS 172
I recently paid £974 for 10 months with elephant after a renewal quote of £1400! 23, mods declared, 0 NCB after a slight mis hap in feb! No one else quoted me under £1200!
To say i was chuffed with the end result would be an understatement!

T

21 with endsleigh on my 1.4 fully comp with legal and courtesy car = £350

Edit 4 years no claims

well its been over a year now and the lawyers are saying to give up and go knock for knock. because they can be bothered sending any more letters only to get no responce.
tip for you all if your in the wrong, tell your insurers about a completley
diferent storey to what happened, location circumstances etc, then get someone you know to make up a fake statment, then completley blank any correspondance from the toher parties insurers and lawyers, seems like the worst that happens is you go 50-50!. I have thee Anglea the worst taxi driver in hamilton.

no she told them but interesting ly it was debt collection agency who contacted me before her insurers did? like a week after the event, apprently she has told them i pulled out of a side street infront of her and she hit me because i violater her right of way, what happened as i was on a round about exiting and she came on and into the front wing of my car at 30mph. ah well, not much i can do about it now, they have given up.
