Can someone give me a run down of the different categories of insurance write off. Also does anyone know how far you can strip a car down and for it still to be classed as a car (ie still registered as a car). When does the v5 become useless in terms of telling you this heap of strap metal is a car?. Is there a time limit to get an insurance write off back on the road?

Can someone give me a run down of the different categories of insurance write off. There are sevral types of Write offs Ie reparable class D where someones bought a brand new car and have a smack even if its not that bad. you are entitled to reject the car and ask for a new one in the first three months, then theres C, same as before, but A+b are not condired reparable.
