hi,
im new to this site so id firstly like to say hello !
Ive been looking at buying a 172 as i think they are a cracking little car and just really really want one but am 18 turning 19 this year and cant seem to find a decent insurance quote anywhere!
I have recently atrated a new job on what i consider a good wage but i like to know if anyone knows of any really cheap websites. i know people ask this question all of the time but its realli annoying when i know i can afford the car but the insurance is over half of the price of the car as well.

i had my 172 cup at 19. you wont be getting quotes cheaper than 2500. dont scrimp with TPFT either. i went with elephant, im with bell this year (20 +1 ncb when i re-insured) it came down about a grand. looking back i wish i'd have kept my old car (remapped 04 plate 1.9 dci megane) another year, got a years no claims and saved with the money.

imo, until you're 20, i wouldnt consider it.

agreed i had a modded fiesta xr2 for my first car, then a mk2 golf gti 8v, then a 150 bhp cav gsi all within first 18 months

if you live at home who cares ? what else you gonna spend ya money on drugs and beer ?
