Im not from the UK, so please excuse my ignorance. How come you all are so fussed with your insurance co.s What has your new alloys or exhaust got to do woth your insurance ? here I insured my car when I got it, stated make and model and purchase price and thats it, changing my rims has nowt to do with them ? Unless you are wanting to up your cover as you feen your car is worth more......

dont get me started with your MOT.....

In the eyes of the insurance company Alloy Wheels make the car more nickable (even if they only take the wheels). Aftermarket exhausts or induction kits could improve the performance of your car, therefore meaning youre more likely to have an accident. Of course Id like to see the evidence that says a replacement panel filter increases the likelyhood of an accident.

Insurance companies are looking for a reason not to pay out, so if you have a non-standard air freshener they can refuse to cough up. (I was joking about the air freshener)

In my experience the value of the car means very little because they will always try and give you less than the car is worth if its a total loss/write off. Im sorry but insurance companies are a fscking rip off. Can you believe that Adrian Flux wanted £6000 to insure my 172!!!?!?!
