Do I need to tell insurance if I fit a 172 interior to my standard 1.2 Clio?

Yes. You are meant to tell your insurance about any modification to your vehicle.

Legally yes you do, I can't see it adding anything substantial to your policy price though.

17 mate, just enjoy being able to drive for a year or two. Don't worry about any mods yet.
