Angel eyes look pisch, wheels don't suit it and the bonnet bra is ridiculous. Plus I can only cringe at the thought of having chrome under the bonnet.

Chipping a car is a term used to refer to adding a piggy back ECU OR replacing part of the original ECU with a new 'chip', hence chipping.

Remapping is altering the map on the car, so it quite possibly has had both.

Oh and boost valve is more than likely an FSE Power Boost Valve, basically a fuel pressure regulator.

You always map a chip, you just wouldnt normally refer to it like he ahs in the advert.

i think my mate knows him, car sounds quite good in person if it is, spoke to him a few times, although i have been told the springs had just been cut? il find out!

all 172's sound nice IMO. but then i can only compare to a 1.2 :dead: and nails down a blackboard sound better than a 1.2 at 5000rpm!

Not to my taste as said. Easily rectified though...
Shame it's over priced!

Looking at the car and the ad its proberly been mapped by a previous owner then ebay chipped

this drove past me again last night! it is the guy i was on about, his last 106 gti was close to blowing up because he hits the limiter in every gear every time he drives it! he got the springs cut by a mate to lower it and last i heard he bodged a pugsport exhaust so it fitted to this, but ended up getting pulled for it being so loud that he got another one, i for one would avoid!
