Interesting handling

morning all,

I have a 2001 172, which has recently developed some rather interesting (scary) handling charcteristics.

I have no problem going around right hand corners, but whenever I go around right hand corners at anything other than a snails pace, the front feels like it's going to roll over. To add to that the rear has started squirming.

I have been unable to find aything wierd at the front of the car and have had the front springs replaced in the last 6 months. I have found some corosion on the rear spring, so this could be the culprit for rear movement.

Any one got any ideas what I can check for or replace in order to get the car driving properly again.

I'm not really intersted in modding the car, as I'd like to keep it standard.

Could be tired shocks

Leaky rear shocks.

corroded rear spring wont do anything you can notice unless its actually snapped in half.

It's been a while since all the shocks were replaced so would be a good idea to get them done. I've managed to source the rears farily easily, but am struggling with finding the fronts. Renault direct don't appear to have them ins stock. Any ideas on the best place to source them from?

As much as it pains me to say it as IMO they're the anti christ. Give euro car parts a try.

Already tried them and they only had rears.

Buy genuine cup front shocks from renault, they work fantastically well.
