Interior and headlights losing powerWhy

When I have the lights on the dash lights and the exterior lights seem to dip and lose there power what is going on? Have had no problems with altenator or battery, just seems to get worse when I put my foot down any advice?

How long have you had the battery? or perhaps the alternator belt is slack and is slipping slightly at high speed (esp. high revs) this would result in less power, ie. dimming effect.
