Interior Bulb.

Hi, after doing searches on what type of bulb is used on the interior of my clio everyone seems to be saying they use a 501 bulb same as the sidelight, but after taking my interior bulb out its some sort of festoon bulb.

Does any one have any experience with changing these and how long are they?
The only writing on the bulb is j43 so do i assume its 43mm?
My car is a 05 Clio 1.2 Extreme 4 if this helps.

They're well easy to change, yes on a non sport its the festoon bulb. Because it's held in by springy metal bits, you can get various sizes to fit in there.

Thanks for the reply, so that means i can use any size festoon bulb as there seems to be various sizes on ebay.

Just to make sure before i do order a bulb, it doesnt matter what size it is as long as its a festoon type yes?

This might be a stupid question but.. if its got more smd/led's on it isnt it going to use more power?

Not enough to worry about I doubt.

Leds use very little power anyway.
