intermitent wipers not working ????

my intermitent wipers dont work when pressed down, they'l only work on slow and fast settings.

could this have anything to do with my car not having the auto wiper windscreen fitted?

or could the stalk be knackered?

any help much appreciated

100% windscreen mate. If there isn't a sensor, they won't work.
I take it your auto headlights don't work either then.

its a ff my auto lights and wipers dont work its had a windscreen replacement and the previous owner must have gone for the cheaper option, would this affect the intermitent wipers though?

Don't think you have an intermittent setting when you have autos.

iv got traders policy so dont get windscreen cover the auto lights sensor is missing aswell is this matched to my car or can i salvage 1? same with windscreen if i got 1 from a damaged clio would it work? obviously if the window wasnt damaged ? cheers

Does the actual screen make a difference though? Does it still have the sensors at the top of the screen, behind the mirror?

The screen and sensor come together. That's why they cost a packet.

Yup. A secondhand one will work fine. There's a few being broken on here at the moment. IIRC, the 182 screen is the same too.

Dang, the auto wipers are the worst thing in the world ever...

Not so far, I've had an independant vehicle check done which has revealed more problems and the leaking shock is proving to be 'interesting' in the wet... I'm ringing the finance company tomorrow and asking to return/replace the vehicle and we'll see how that goes No more thread high-jack tho I'll update that thread when I have news

What would happen if the auto bit was turned off?
Would that give you back intermittant?

Ive got a problem like this, My 182 has a renault screen but no sensor or a bit for the sensor in the screen.

I have intermitant which i can turn fast or slow.
