Weird... moments after it went dead I had customers saying their site was down - and thats in a hosting centre. guess it was a minor net outage.

I had browsing issues earlier but since my mail was working fine I put it down to Talktalk's DNS. Seems fine now...

lol, i love threads like these.

this is like asking somebody in america if their kettle stopped working because yours did in england.

fair enough if your local exchange has an issue, or your isp has an issue, and somebody else is on the same isp or same exchange, but just asking somebody if their internet is down is really pretty useless.

"the internet" doesn't just go down.

What if all the interconnected networks Died. Then the internet would go down :)
Also
What if 4,162,314,256 People connected to the internet. Surely new users will not be able to connect to the internet. Untill they expand to the Ipv6 System, so the internet would be 'Down' ;)

And what if some one made a 'hacking' Program to make zombie Interconnected network connections That keeps making Connections with new address untill both ipv4 and ipv6 are full
And all there connections send all the ACT packets to keep a stable connection ;)

I'm prob chatting uter s**t. but it sounds good :)

Orange went down this week and this affected hundreds of thousands of people, only takes one of the biggest ISP's to have an outage and you have a substantial number of people without access!
