Into 2nd gear high RPM

Have done a little search on this and found a few people with similar gear changes to what I had the other day.

Ive got a power flexed dog bone mount, new upper gearbox mount and fresh oil.

In the wet moving up a hill in first I waited for someone to turn right then tried to catch the temp traffic lights before they changed, smooth in first then hit freshly laid tarmac which lost traction, so the revs span up quite high, and then when trying to select second bringing the clutch up it was as if nothing was there, I had to dip the clutch to drop the revs before I could select second.

What causes this? old clutch / gearbox on its way out ? or just the fact the revs where too high and the change was quite quick?

Anyone?

When I put the upper gearbox mount on, things felt a lot better in some respects, but it also felt like it was slightly stiffer between gear change, is it possible for the new mount to be slightly miss aligned?
