i must admit, i was sat in my car today, iphone in the sunlight on the passenger seat. It ogt f**king hot. wasn't evne doing anything either. Just sat there locked. Had a silicon cover on it. I had to put it in the shade and it soon chilled off. but it got mega hot.

maybe there is some truth in this story?

If they get too hot I'm sure they come up with a message like put me in the shade or something and won't let you use them ?

They do give off a temperature warning, and in extreme cases it will turn itself off

When my Blackberry gets too hot (gym, hols etc) the screen doesn't work. Would rather the damn thing blew up, means I can sue for damages and get an iPhone 3Gs.
