iphone on your tv

i am wanting to hook my iphone upto my tv so i can see stuff on a bigger screen i see there is 2 types of av cables available Composite and Component which one do i need? and whats the difference?

What kind of TV do you have? Both composite and component use phono plugs - composite is seperated stereo audio (red and white) and video (yellow) and component is colour seperated red/green/blue sockets.
