Ipod 5G Can it be updated to Classic software?

As above I have a 80 5th Gen Video ipod, mate has a Classic the 6th gen one, just curious if it could be updated to mine?

Not really sure what you mean here? There should be an update of the software for your particular iPod on the Apple site, it should ask you when you plug your iPod into iTunes.

Edit: Think I know what you mean, and they are different products with different specs so its a no as far as I know.
