As said as long as you find a decent frequency to have them at their pretty good for the money, can pick up a bit of interference from time to time otherwise.
Personally i wouldnt go spending a fortune on one though, depending on the HU you can often get proper ipod adapters which would be a better bet imo.
The cable for the tuner list is actually a cable and interface- it connects up via the cd changed port so cannot be connected at the same time- only the update list model has a separate aux input port. The tuner list interface can be had for about £40 connect2 make one.
What is the 'update list model', a ph2 HU? Trying to find a solution to play my ipod touch over the radio, only just picked it up so haven't tried any of the solutions or various makes yet. FM bandwidth isn't as busy in Ireland though as it is in the UK so it should be easier to get a clean signal.
I have had 2 of these, one was cheap and it was nasty, so I spent money on my next one and the quality is pretty good, it would be fine for most people. I will still probably consider updating my head unit to something I can cable though as I'm fairly picky about my sound quality.
