Ipod Headunit ~£150

  BMW M5 & E36
Evening,

I'm looking at getting a new headunit as I'm tired of faffing about with my Itrip to play my ipod tunes.

So basically I have roughly £150 to play with, and it needs to have a direct ipod link that can be controlled through the HU, a CD player (mp3?), and be compatible with the stalk adapter for volume/search controls. Also prefer it to look semi OEM and not too snazzy and/or chav/thief attracting!

Suggestions please, and also what to avoid!

Cheers,
Chris

only thing i can suggest on that kinda budget is the Alpine CDE-9850Ri with the full speed ipod connection but you would need additional adapters for the stock control. If your looking to get a decent HU that can control the ipod think you might need to up your budget a bit unless anybody else can find anything?

the specialists i spoke to all recommended the alpine stuff as being the best to work with the ipod in terms of access and speed, just dont get anything with the 'revolutionary glide touch bar' as it is shockingly bad!
