Ipod question. Change to Nano? With 20gb?

I have an 80gb ipod classic which I've had for a few months, but I can't help thinking it's too big, and I'm always a bit careful with it, especially if running, due to it having a hard disc.

When I bought it, I ideally wanted a nano, but they only go up to 8gb, and I currently have 20gb on my ipod classic.

This means I have 20gb in my Itunes too.

If I was to sell my classic and buy a nano, I take it I will be able to chose about 8gb of music to put on it, and then when I want other stuff on it, change it about.

Although I like the idea of having everything with me all the time, I also like the idea of the nano.

Just have both?

I too have about 20GB and only have a 8GB nano, although im going to buy a classic.

But generally I find you just listen to the same songs most of the time anyways.

You can easily select what you want on there, different playlists etc. 8GB is plenty of music to keep you going. Thats still a good few thousand songs.

Buy my Classic then? It's in the for sale section lol.

I don't use it enough to warrant having all my music really. 8gb will be fine I think, as long as I can choose what I put on it. I'm no good with itunes.

Im not sure you if you could swap the hard drives around from classics to nanos etc. Some one somewhere has probably done something, i know the older nanos you could swap the hard drives.

I have about 35gb of music on my pc and only an 8gig nano. So every couple of months i just wipe the ipod and put all the latest albums etc on.

The new nanos have flash memory, and the hard drives in the classics are bigger than the nano ipods themselves lol.

Otherwise, that'd be a good solution. :)

God knows how many hours of music you lot have!

I only have about 3GB in total on my PC as I generally delete most of the cr*ppy filler album tracks. All of my songs are ones I like and wouldn't skip past when listening in shuffle mode. So I just got the 4GB Nano as there was no point paying for the 8GB.

I'd definitely get the 8GB Nano over the classic though. The Nano is far better for slipping in your pocket etc.
