TomTom are bringing out a hardwired cradle for the *40 range of tomtoms later this year. (or maybe out by now)

That will do everything you want ;)

Also if you want it now and cheap, there are plenty of iPod adaptors for standard radios out there on ebay and good audio shops.

Im not really bothered about my sat nav, the battery only lasts about 40 mins before i have too plug it in too the 12V thing.....and thats the l8est tom tom sat nav too.... I only got it cause its an mp3 player and its compatible with mobile phones " answer and make calls " with touch of button !! etc.

my current sterio only plays cds and does not play mp3's !!
