Ipod through your stereo

  Clio 172
You head unit doesnt accept full input only rear input on the Aux channel, so I presume its wired back to front. You can get the IPOD adapter for the pioneer IP bus (Pioneer CD-IB100 IPOD) which will allow full control.
Alternatively revert to the origional unit and use this:

http://www.nexxia.co.uk/ipod_mp3_adaptors/renault.htm

But at £99 its quite expensive, but then again it does work with your steering wheel controls and displays the track name etc on the display.

However, for the money you can buy:
http://www.cel-direct.com/p/Alpine-IDA-X200/Alpine-IDA-X200.asp
which you ipod will plug directly into. Not bad value. at only£50 more.

Hope that helps

Not really mate, just spent £220 on a new stereo and its got an ipod function just cant seem to get it to work on the whole speakers, just front ones
Thanks anyway

Do you have an Amplifier connected to the headunit ?

If you do.

The sound the 6x9's and the sub may go through Rca (phono)leads
and thats why your only getting sound through the front speakers.

Excuse me if i'm speaking crap.

Does your car have rear speakers fitted as standard ?

As that may also be the problem :S

Or it could be what downie said;)

Pioneer CD-IB100 IPOD won't work with a shuffle, only 2nd generation ipod's as the shuffle only has a 3.5mm jack connection.

But I bought one of these from halfords for £24.90. all halfords have reduced them to that price.

If you want to stick with the shuffle try one of these:

plug it into the 'aux in' RCA connections. won't be able to control it through the stereo but it's cheap as chips and it'll play your ipod music

Ah right ok,it was probably the best and quickest option at the time.

I dread to think how thin the wire is connected to them,it'll just be standard speaker wire i guess which is thin as f**k :(

Having the speakers wired into the Amp with uprated speaker cable and the sound signal fed through Rca Cables from the headunit to the amp will sound much better ;)
