iPod to HU

Maz

Car  LY 200
What do I need and where can I get it ?, not that clued up on this so thought I would ask :o

Any help would be great please :D

A specialist audio place? Reno garage?

Gotta get mine done at my local Seat soon, they wire a connection round the back of the dash and out again for when I get my ipod. gona set me back about 90 notes iirc

It's generally a little thing that plugs into your CD changer socket isn't it? Sony make one for sony's... I'd imagine Connect2 (or whatever it's called) make it for everything else :)

Sony one is about £30-40 iirc

halfords . denison ice link same as i have .

which hu you got they may do a link for that hu maybe .

depends what you want ? new hu? what you gt at presnts theerea lead you can make for 182 that does the jobby!

I have a pioneer HU, not sure on the model as I dont have my car at the moment.

Not paying Renault to do it I would rather do without :p

Best to nip into Halfourds Tim ?

i am not sure if your h/u is Ipod compatable maz. if it is tho then you just need the pioneer ipod link like i have

if it has a changer port buy a pioneer to phono lead then a phono to 3.5mm jack or buy a proper pioneer to ipod lead, the first lead i talk about can be ordered form halfords for 7.99 whereas online is 19.99

changer port will mean you can have ipod lead

actually thinking about it, it just needs the cd changer iput on the back. try and find out the model and i will check for you.

this is what you need. http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4928.html

once you find the model then check on the pioneer website to see if it has the cd changer input.

This is the best option to go for, check that your HU has an IP-BUS first though, will be in the manual. This will give you functionallity to control the ipod through the head unit so the ipod itself can be hidden in the glovebox for example. It will also charge the ipod.

I have one of these with my AVIC HU and works great.

^ yeah spot on mate. she doesnt know the model of the unit though yet so until then she wont know lol!

yeah its the cd changer input or IP-Bus as pioneer call it what you need on the back

yep i've got my cd-ib100 II on order. They should of received stock from pioneer today so get ordering maz:P Providing your hu has the change port on it.

I aint got a clue what your on about sorry, im not clued up on this kind of thing :o
