iPod Touch menu/home button is fubar'd

Is there a replacement part available for this? I've seen replacement buttons on eBay but I don't know if its a spring or something underneath?

Its sitting a bit below flush and I have to push it really hard to get it to respond. Its definitely not covered by warranty its quite an old 1st gen touch.

Get it into the shop, if you stat pushing it hard you'll do damage to the pcb and it'll end up even more goosed.
