Ipod Video

I have just bought myself a 60gb Ipod video and was wondering whats the best software for converting DVD's ready to put on the Ipod?

Also what sort of size will the video files be on the Ipod?

Everything you need you can get for free from the internet.

You need a DVD Ripper. Another programme to convert the ripped stuff into one file, e.g. MP4. Then Quicktime will save it for you in iPod set up.

Failing that you can get all in one packages from PC World. Don't know if they're any good like....+

I use Nero recode for ipod videos - works a treat.
Will do DVD's as well but I've never really seen the point in doing a full DVD as the battery will only last about 2hrs when playing vids constantly.
