There's not much you can do to the 1.2 engine to make it more powerful.

A good set of tyres and a good suspension setup and you can still belt along twisty roads nicely though.

Won't give you much, if any more power. Seriously, trying to get power out of the D7F engine is expensive and still won't give you much more power. Even a 2.0 conversion is more expensive than just getting a 172.
