irratic tickover, no throttle response

Hi all,

my clio has developed a fault.

when turned on the engine idle hunts between 2000 and 1000 rpm.

if you press the throttle, nothing happens.

the light in the middle of the dash board (the one that looks like 2 loops) stays on.

is there a known reason for this?

model is '51 1.2 8v. it looks like it has fuel injection.

the wife parked it this morning and it drove fine. we have noticed that it is loosing some fluid which looks like water, but the water level hasn't moved so it may be something else.

Check for fluids I'd bet the leak ins't linked could be washer jet.

check the connection on theback of the throttle pedal I'd bet its con ditached.

Otherwise its the wiring by the ecu most likly you need to get the ecu cover off (it wears agaists the loom and shorts it etc) and check the wires.
