Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
There nicely started to get run in on that millage.

Thats just about on par with millage, nothing wrong that side.

Get it checked over, surely must have been serviced at somepoint? etc...

Average Millage now being roughly 12k per year..

ive got 53 plate on 36k. seems to be flying like a brand new motor, so 50k wouldnt daunt me.

however 4,000????? whose he kidding. wouldnt get that with average miles and service history.

  06 Ibiza FR + 02 Clio 1.2
for 4k i would want fsh to be honest, what spec is it?
garage or private?
I would use the lack of sh to get the price down if i were you

Mine 55k or so on a 52 plate there no problem cam belts at 72k though and thats expensive so remember that.
I'd say more like £3k.
I'm looking at £3.1k trade in on my dci in dynamic spec with full Renault warently for 2 yrs and it has metalic paint CD alrm etc.

As mentioned, check model

Dynamique? or Base model etc..

Check for usual things, crash damage, bodge jobs etc..

If not able to do that, get it checked over professionaly. Well worth it.

Thing is check the oil it may nver have been serviced i know of some people who do this just run a car for miles sell with no service history and they've saved £700 in servicing and only loose £500 when they come to sell. Its even worse with big cars I know a Honda which did 60k on the same stuff it left the factory with still ran fine and the deler gae them alsmost what a FSH car would be worth they'd saved somewhere over £1k. There are some cars (usually Micras and Mini's) which have never been serviced in years. SOme little old lady runs then who doesn't have a clue the oils like syrup in them they don't service as they don't think it needs it unless it breaks.

  Golf GTI 1.8T
3k?? for an 02? really I paid 3.3k for mine last april :(

only had 39k miles though

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
its a trade in at work, its spotless just abit grubby. its a danamique *sp* ive now bought it 3.2k at trade value hehe

good price for the car end up.

As for the servicing, personally i do mine myself, therefore no stamp. Why pay the garage £150 notes or so for jobs that in the main are very basic, and parts are cheap.

  E90
mine is march 03, and has 80,000 miles on the clock, so by that standard, no it isn't alot, all depends on if its been serviced properly etc.

The thing is without a service history you cannot trace the mileage!

It may say 50k on clock but the car could have done 100000 miles. It costs about £80 to get the clock fiddled with!

  Renault Clio Dynamique
I bought myself a 02 Clio Extreme 1.2 16V for 4k mate, Had 23000 on the clock and it was genuine. Bodywork and everything is in great condition. If you are paying it with cash they may drop the price for you if it's a garage.

tbh i'd a prefer a car with a decent milage, opposed to one with a really low mileage, which has probabaly only been used for short commutes

I agree, it's the little journeys in traffic jams which seem to cause the most amount of problems, damage to the engine.
