Is 8.8 grade sufficient for locking wheel nuts?

As the title. I'm looking at some locking wheel nuts. They are grade 8.8.

I know my PMS studs and nuts are grade 10.9. So I'm just checking that 8.8 is still more than sufficient?

8.8 should be fine. Some argue they are better for the wheel nuts/nuts due to the fact they are less brittle.

I've heard this.

Also, it's only a locker though, so would only be on one stud per corner.

8.8 is still a high tensile grade, its just not AS high as 10.9.
An 8.8 shouldn't be looked at as a 'weak' bolt.
