Is it possible to get headlamp washers to work in a cup bumper?

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
i beleive they work on

1) a seperate motor

2) kicks in 5 seconds after holding down the "wash" button. controlled by UCH

You could just connect a T-peice in line with existing one, but it will come on every time you wash front screen.

hasn't Daz 2427 done this to his non-sport recently, PM him Dansta.
Yep you are correct, I have just added them to mine :approve: I did it 'T'ing off the original pipework and running in my own tubes etc. You don't get the headlights washed everytime you wash the screen if you don't hold the stalk in long enough ;) The 5 second delay as fitted to 'Sports' is UCH controlled as Has says, and I agree that they're probably fed from a second pump. You can of course add this delay if you so wish by tubing the headlight jets to a new washer bottle and pump. Then just take a feed from the existing pump to a time-out unit which then in turn operates your new pump  Job sorted!

Poor design those headlamp washer jets my left one crys :) probably a sales gimmick rather than a proper functional piece of kit. I'm thinking of removing them and blanking the holes off.

this would make them illegal mate, as factory fitted units must have the washers :dapprove:
