Is my car an Import

I have recently purchased a Clio 2002 Authentique. I have noticed that the windscreen wipers are set up for left hand drive. I have a semi circle in the top right drivers corner of the windscreen that does not get touched by the wipers. Is this normal or is my car a dodgy one?

Its normal. All mk2 Clios have "back to front" wipers. Theres an adapter put on UK cars to throw the wipers to the corners of the windscreen.

It leaves an uncleared portion on my windscreen too. Will try and get a snap of the uncleared portion on my car tomorrow so you can compare.

Although, if your car is RHD, Id guess it has already been set up to wipe as much as it can...

the wipers are the same as french vehicles.this means renault dont have to make/build then differently when supplying other countries.all done to save renault money.

The wipers are different on LHD cars. The RHD set up has an additional mechanism in the base of the offside wiper arm that extends the reach of this wiper up into the offside top corner of the screen. The LHD cars dont have it.

Why are the Lagunas and meganes the right way then and only the clio the wrong way?

When i replaced my wipers i fitted wipers an inch longer, they dont hit anything and clear that top part of the screen

the easyiest way to tell if its an import is the windows are not etched with

secruity numbers in each corner of the windows
