is the 182 as good as it sounds

i want to buy a 182 but would love to here what people who have them,think about them! so i know it is a good 15k spent?

They sound rubbish

Cracking car for £13k. You wont get a new car thats better specced, goes as fast or handles as well for the money. Everything comes at price though, and finish and build quality arent as good as they perhaps should be. But having come from a Saxo, you may find its a step up....

You can pick one up for less than £15k, which makes it an absolute bargain. There isnt another new car which offers the same spec or performance as a 182 for anywhere near the money.

Spec wise its got ,auto Xenon headlamps, Digital climate control, leather and alcantara seats, auto wipers, cruise control, traction control and ESP.

And performance and handling wise its like a go cart, or at least mine is with the Cup options. Ive not driven one without, but I would imagine thats similar to how my 172 used to be, and that was a fantastic little car.

I had a 172 for just over a year then swapped it for a 182 and dont regret doing it for one minute. The 182 is a great car for the money.

i found load on the internet for under 12k but i want the options like spoiler and the white strips over blue and the suspension pack so i think it will have to be a main dealer. how much did you pay for yours, just so i can see how much i can get the dealer down to?

some one got one for 12.5K from "motor point" ??? i think??? it was motor some thing, anyway its a f**kING EXCELLENT car, my mate keeps on about "why dont i get a jap import for 5K" like his super MR2 turbo?? coz its jap crap and its constantly falling apart!!! for a brand new car there is nothing for that price that will touch it, and even up the price range there isnt much either!

£13k new with options from a dealer seems to be a good target - mine was £13.2k although you can get pre-reg/import ones much cheaper (£12k).

Alternatively a few people seem to be selling nearly new ones around the £11-£12k mark

I paid more for my 182 but at the time they were doing 0% over 3 years not sure if they are still doing this, might be worth finding out if you are going the UK dealer route.

hmmm i used to have a vtr a few years ago since then ive had a 172 and a 182 and they are so much better mines an import but ive heard many people on here say you can get a good price from the dealer!!!

I learned that with the 172, so this one is only going back if its totally broken. LOL

This was my first new car, so the first time i have ever used a main delear just some really small teething problems that i would say would be easy enough for any garage to do seems they are having trouble Renault ORPINGTON that is.............

well i dont have a 182 but i do have a 172 and as far as im concerned everyone moans about build quality blah blah blah but all cars are the same. My 172 is an awesome car its fast, handles excellently, looks sexy and built better than my mums beetle, they arnt as bad as people make them out to be on here, and they are great little cars.
