What cars do the people who slate the clio drive mate?
I bet there is a fair gathering of corsas/novas/saxos out there,
all of which are sh*t, either in drive/looks/build quality, or even all three at once!
Dont listen man! I like people referring to the clio 172cup as a "killer rollerskate"
seems quite fitting!
Now Ive had this debate a few times with mates in the pub - and to be fair my cars name is Holly, which could be a bloke or a bird.
But then they see a proper Renault Sport Clio - like my Clio 16v:
Pearlescent black bodywork, bonnet bulge, air ducts, pupmed up arches, anthracite wheels, grey leather, wide tracks, big discs all-round, loud ICE - and to top it off, an engine capable of making this Clio embarrass most cars on the road. Most of that is standard too!!

Saying that I did have a little play with 2 girls (no puns intended!) in a Civic Type-R tonight coming back from an interview in Watford. I dont think she was driving it to its full ability as I went flying past. Although I did get a wave from them along with flash of lights....they werent to shabby either
Michelle Mouton drove an Audi quattro. I guess that must be a girls car then.
Sabine drives an M5 ring taxi. I guess that must be a girls car as well.
And Sarah Fisher drives an IRL car. Obviously a girly car!
A guys car is the same as a girls car. Nothing to do with chromosomes at all...

Well my car is not a girls car and I have never been approached by a female asking about it, whereas, although I am married, my other half is well used to blokes of all ages (I prefer the toyboys though)! stopping me to ask about my car. I am often approached by guys in car parks at places like B&Q, Sainsburys etc who are interested and want to have a look around my car, but I always make sure that I have the keys in my hand, in case they try to carjack me!
A couple of times when my car has been parked near my house, guys in ordinary Clios have parked beside it got out and given it the once over before driving off and the local sixth form boys all love my car too, especially with the Super Ts on it.
I wonder if it is the silver or flame red 172s which might be classed as more girly. The silvers look like the sort that gays and hairdressers would drive and the reds by their mums! (Like your mum CB)
My car is black, shiny, very protective and definitely MALE!

The definitive way to tell if a car is a "girls car"....
Is there a vanity mirror on the drivers sun visor... if there is, its a girls car. The cars designer knew the car was aimed at girls, and therefore had to put a vanity mirror on the drivers side.
Simple.
Still love my Clio tho...

I think they dropped a bombshell when they started advertising the 172 with that french guy instead of our Nicole, or Size matters lady.
All I can say is from a physical point of view they did put the pedals close together.....was this for womens allegedly small feet, and therefore its a girls car???
Bit silly seeing as the average womens shoe size is 7-8.
ANyway, I would respect you guys much more for driving clios than any C*rsa, S*xo, K*, or Fi*sta.

stuck in traffic in earls court last weekend, I turned to my right to see three nice ladies in an Audi A4 wave and smile at me. Now, a friend of mine pointed out that ladies like cute cars, so I assume the ladies in the Audi liked the look of Puppy. In fact, Pups gets quite a few looks, from boys and girls. Maybe its the colour; maybe its because C172s are cute but not too girly. Oh I dont know.

Anyone can drive a clio, but it is still a girls car! The 16v isnt coz there is nothing girly bout the wide arches, the bulge on the bonnet, the power and the very stiff clutch. But we are talkin in general, and girls think clios are cute. You cant have a cute mans car!
Kiss, The reason there isnt many women on the site is coz "most" girls arnt as enthusiastic about cars as the few on here.

Right.. im one of the guys who started this arguement with Cliojohn.. the way i see it is that Clios are a birds car.
Nomatter how many stories i hear of beating civic type Rs (not likely by the way) or amizingly styled Clios with pearlescent black paint and things the fact remains that the car looks like a girls car, either that or a homosexuals car
.just in case youre wondering , i drive a Honda CRX, not the newest car, but im sure it kick most clios arses.
