i got told the other day when i went to get soem that they were due for a delivery but the tanker drivers have had to go down south to help out the fuel deliveries after the explosion.

3 shell's within 10 miles of each other and no optimax (southend area)

Think we're fine in North Wales too!

Drove past the shell garage tonight and didn't notice anything on the pumps etc.....

would if my local tesco actually sold it..

Try tesco 99 while they are short, you may be pleasantly surprised!

I agree, after a couple of tanks of this, you will notice an improved throttle response!
But sadly a loss of around 2MPG is likely

Im in oxfordshire which in reality isnt far from Buncefield so thats prob why then. Oh well not to worry, its not as if it dont work on normal stuff.

Crap, everywhere I've tried today has run out too. Had to go with the normal stuff in the end as my fuel light was on.

There must be a shortage seeing as all the Shell stations near me are dry too.

None at the large Shell station in Exeter too so had to use Sainsburys 97 instead.

Went to fill up today at shell, redheugh bridge, newcastle, none, havent had any for 2 and a half weeks i think she said. I asked her when they were getting some in, and she didnt know, she also said that none of the northeast has had any deliveries of optimax:(. So went to tescos to see if they had any of the 99ron, every pump they had out of 15 or more pumps only had diesel or 95. Anyone in newcastle know of any 99ron tesco's?

Still dry in Exeter. How much longer I wonder? Tried BP ultimate and consumption dropped by 3 or 4 mpg and it doesn't pull as well. Using Sainsburys 97 now. Much cheaper and it suits my 172 way better!

They told me it will be in again shortly but then another week passed by! Wonder why it's taking so long to come back on line?

None in South Glos or Bristol now..... I have a BP garage just up the road, so using Ultimate, it's fine.

There was still none in newcastle on new years eve, so filled up with my 2nd tank of bp ultimate, it seems ok, £1.04 a litre, then found another one at 0.99p a litre. How can they charge this when it has less ron that optimax? Although i think they know there is a shortage of opitmax so they can put their prices up!

I tried BP ultimate, at 99p/litre! Back on 89p/litre Sainsburys 97 Ron and car feels much better.

Rob, I think its 97p for Ultimate by me..... I actually prefer the garage up the road and the lads that work there are Top.. may carry on using it... I can't really tell the diff between that and Optimax in YOJ... maybe Optimax feels a little sharper?

Plus the Shell garages are shocking for customer service that I have visited....

It seems that regular fuel (diesel and 95 RON) is their priority at the mo. Guess we'll all have to wait! Might still be a few weeks according to Shell.

Cheers, Rob669
