is this a genuine part?

How do I find out if a part is a genuine Renault part without ringing a dealer? Because of course they are not always open.:dapprove:

The part number i have is 77 11 229 998

Can anyone tell me what it is and how they found out?

7711 is the prefix for all the genuine parts I have ever bought from renault bar a couple so I would say so.

most genuine renault parts for clios are either prefixed 7711 or 8200

Well I am thinking of buying said part and wanted to make sure it was genuine, didnt want to say what it was so as to find out for definate.

Its called th Renault dialogues system and my copies broken.

Sounds like a genuine part number though.

Thanks Jimbo. Its the Renault Sports exhaust back-box, just got it for £60, never been fitted, still boxed.

^Yeah, gonna put it on my Skoda which is cunningly fitted with everything that comes on a 1.6 16v Dynamique

Not everyone can afford to own a 172/182 etc, unfortunately.

was it for a 182 or a 172? the 172 back box is £100 either way, you've won for £60

I am not sure which it was for to be honest Jimbo, i figured for £60 though that if I don't like it, it hasnt broke the bank and i can always re-Bay it.
