Is this a good price

Really wanted to buy brand new 182 but having to wait a long time for some inheritance money to be sorted out but i am being advanced 10k so i am thinking of buying a 172 now and using that as trade in for the 182 when rest of money comes through.

would keep current car but its on last legs and dont see point at spending money on it as it will be scrapped.

Have found this 172 at local used car dealer just wondering if its a good deal.

i wouldnt buy the 172! your gona lose money, you will have to try and sell it, or trade it in! either way you will lose money!

Id say £6k is a good deal.

The more you pay the more money you will loose on a car so Id recomend against buying a 182 unless you can get an excellent deal.

Well i need to buy something as the cavalier on a j plate im driving now has broken roll bar mounts and bearing on front are on the way out i should of repaired clio rt i had rather than pay 250 for the cav back in june but it had mot and clio needed £300+ work needed doing to get through mot and cav has a sony head unit and 10 disk auto changer in it when i brought it so will probably give it to one of my sisters.

so its a choice of spending money on car ive got or buying something else till i have rest of money to buy the 182 and dont forget the cavalier should really of been called the chavalier i think its what they progress to after the nova.

If you really want a 182 why not use the 10k and borrow the rest, prob not more than 3k, then pay off loan when rest of money comes through?

Brought a car this friday got a ex demo 6 week old skoda vrs for £10.900 with 2500 miles on clock and cd auto changer fitted. couldnt handle 9 week wait for 182 and after ragging a vrs at work last week i think they are just as fun as the clio but being diesel i will get around 55 mpg on average and insurance is only group 9 so running cost alot less and dare i say it being part of vag group the skoda is probably going to be more realiable than renault.
