That first one looks like the effort on mine, only the one I have looks like it's from a truck as it's f**king massive. No idea on performance as I never drove the car with an airbox, but it sounds chavvy and gash and after a drive it stores some serious heat... so at a guess I'd say my car is down on power over the airbox and panel filter option. For the gains you do or dont get they are pointless, just spend £20 on a decent filter element.
