saw this on the comet website. i want a home cinema system for 200 notes with optical input and DivX compatability. looks a good deal, unless theres anything better for the same money?

Panasonic speakers are rubbish. But for under £200 nothing you are going to buy is going to be good tbh.

Any surround sound system under 200 notes as above will sound fine for the normal guy...its only audio purves who will appreciate somet more expensive. have you not condsidered the yamaha single unit which simulates surround ??

i think this is a silly answer for the lad, i mean i bought a system for 150, it looked good, and produced clean un-interfered sound, it also had more range then another syste, i was looking at which was 3 times as much..... i cant find any difference in normal use systems until about £600

What set up do you have to pass such a comment ???

if you tell me you have a set up that is a package, ie all the same make, i will laugh at you.

i've just gone and reserved it at comet using a discount code thats got me £30 off of the £199.99 they were selling it for. i'm sure it'll sound just fine for my requirements.

My system is pretty naff tbh, but Hi-fi and Home cinema was my profession for nearly 5 years. My main interest was always the music side and I ran a Naim system with Epos speakers. Unfortunately needs must and I had to sell that system and currently run a set of Mission NXT speakers a Denon AVR 3200 and jsut an LG DVD player.
