Is this bad?

Cause I cant find WTF it's for in hayes, yet, nothing seems to have changed in my car.
 
do they actually do owt? anything show up on the facia display when they go down? replaced my pads the other week and noticed they weren't attached before.

They show a light on the dash when the pads are worn down but theyre not needed, you know when they need replacing as they squeek.
Seems somone ages ago musn't have connected them up.

Squeek?? I know my fronts have quite a bit left on them, but I dont know how to check my drums. When I break hard mine squeek. :S:S

They squeek anyway.
If you want it doens't take long to check them take the wheel off two bolts hold the caliper on 15 nut and a 17mm spanner are needed to get them off from memory.
As for rear drums there a pain to change take the wheel off them undo the 30mm nut which is under the metal cap in the center of the wheel them takle the handbrake off and you have to pull the drum off which is a pain use a hammer and spin it round loads them when you've got it off you can see how much material is on the pads.ther've oly got about 5mm on from new any less than 2 mm and I'd change them.
