Is this graphics card any good?

Just had my new processer and motherboard delivered. still need a new graphics card as the one I have is still agp. Only have around £100 to spend. Im assuming for this kind of budget the geforce 8600 gts is the best bet?

Doesn't look that bad imo but I've been out of the gaming scene for a good few yrs now so not got the latest info on graphics card. Here's link of all the graphics cards up to november in order of performance level. Yours is level 7, so for £96 doesn't seem too bad. But have a look at the others in the same level and see if they are around the same price, may find a better deal.

Also I want direct x10 support which the x1950 doesnt appear to have and the 8600 gts does.

i have a 8600gts you can have for quite a bit less, brand new boxed. literally took it out the box for a customer to see and then they turn round and tell me they wanted an 8800gts.

£80 inc p&p and and it's yours.

8600GTS is shite yes it has DX10 support but it makes sod all difference as it still performs slower than the 7600 it replaced.

Spend a bit more and find an 8800GT instead.
