mine is like that. i normally leave it ticking over for about 30seconds in the morning before going anywhere (whilst i sort my cds and crap) and it drives much nicer.
of course it is, even mine does it. do what middo said let it tick over for 30 secs this helps it, and remember most engine wear is caused within the first 10 mins, so make sure youve got a nice warm engine before that pedal hits the floor!
Isnt it because while cold its leaned out and once warm its fine as the ECU then gives you full fuel? Leave run for a few minutes before heading off to get a bit of warmth in it.
Im sure you know what its like trying to bend in a dry one, once everythings warmed up it all goes smoothly.....
combination of things, but I'm pretty sure ever car clio or not will do something similar. motorbikes are even worse and you should let them tick over for 3 mins before riding.
teehee...

It is because the ECU is programmed to be very fuel restrictive until the car heats up a bit in order to pass the Euro emissions tests, normally about 2-3 minutes will do the trick and you will suddenly notice that all hesitation is gone, its normally about 2.5-3k rpm that you feel it most
Just for fun, open the windows and take it to 3krpm in 2nd gear (30ish) (very gently), then take your foot off the gas... "p :quiet: op pop pp opoppp p p ppoop".
on my brothers new 2lt megane when its cold and he starts the engine the car will rev slighty higher than usual for 30 seconds to preotect the engine in cold conditions, i usualy let my car idle for a bit before i drive it
