Is this right?

I'm thinking about gettting a 182, but my mate says that they often cut out and won't re-start. Is this right? I thought you guys would be the best to ask.

He said it was a known design flaw wit clios and he knows a thing or two about cars. He says a golf is a better bet, but I'm keen on the 182 myself.

Mine doesn't always start first time and a few others have the same problem, someone told me its if your to quick trying to start the car before the immobilliser has turned off. Its never failed to start at all though.

I didn't really want a golf as was set on a 182 but he put doubt into me wit what he told me. But looks like he was wrong so 182 it is then. Just need to find a good example now ;)

Cheers. Dunno where he got that from then! General concensus = load of b****cks.

Like alot of people who really like the car they own he thinks its better than almost everything else in its class. Even though he's probably not even driven the "lesser" cars let alone owned one.

Loads for sale on piston heads, welcome to the forum btw :D good luck with your search.

wasn't it the peugeot 206 that was on watchdog, cutting out on the motorway etc...? Maybe he's confused the two french sh1tboxes.

Mine (172) has never cut out. Nearly 2 yrs down the line.

Build quality on Rickshaws put some Renaults to shame fella. 1*2s are a lot of fun though. Cheap fun too.

Nope he's thinking about the petrol Merc C class (the last shape one) and the Pug 206 petrols.
