Im not a mechanic but is that the bare throttle bodies of the carb poking out through the bonnet?

It look as though there is no kind of air filter(s) at all - surely not a good idea?

On the bright side - it solves the problem of hot air in-take!!

Yeah I was thinking that, but there seems to be some gaffer tape around the holes thats been cut in the bonnet!? Perhaps this has something to do with the filter???

Dont think Ill be going for this conversion myself mind you if its for real it must of cost a packet for the R1 Carbs.

He does run filters on it just took them off for the pic. They would be better with a shorter inlet manifold then the bonnet could just have some vent/s in it so it wouldnt look so .. well sh*te.

It prob looks like one of those ridiculous yank tanks with a hoooge chrome filter blocking the drivers view!
