Is V50 needed to buy insurance

When buyin insurance, do u need ur v50 (car certificate). Also when buyin a private numberplate do u need the v50 aswell?

do you mean a V5. not for the insurance, can do it over the phone.

you will for the private plate as you need to send it off i believe.
