ITB, loose throttle cable

Ok I may have not noticed this before or it could be something really wrong, but after tonight drive I notice my throttle pedal can be move about 2" back it still feels nice and tight to press but there is also alot of play, under the bonnet it also doesnt feels as tight as I can remember, could it just had worked loose and need adjusting?

Can anybody enlighten me on this as I'm 99% sure it didn't have play in it before :S

do you mean you can lift the pedal upwards with your hand ? mines does it although its not on itb's!

Yea about 2-3" I've honestly never noticed it before, I tried to see if I'm still getting full throttle but I cant see that far round haha still seems to go alright just don't want it failing whilst out driving
