im off to coventry thursday to have my itg fitted ive been waiting 5 months they have had no end of probs with suppliers for brackets and hoses the new lot of hoses are sub standerd but they have one good one out of 50 and its all mine if any one is intresed in a group buy let me know
Will be v intrested to see pics and hear of the pros and cons. I was in touch with itg recently regarding the panel filter (got one of them for now). They were keen to let me know of the Maxogen, even told me that there was a CS member having one fitted...
What do you mean by made up gains. Surely you cannot be championing the ITG till you have it fitted and see what it does. Viper or CDA may actually prove better. Cannot comment till you RR it.
im not on commision in fact i dont realy care but read any performance pre text on car mods and 9 out 10 will have itg, other mods [for neil] konis eibach springs tarox discs and pads, dot 5 brake fluid, powerflex bushes, itg this week and in april longmans racing are flowing the head and im geting a exhuast when i can make my mind up
im into things that work not noisy open induction kits 10 inch exhaust and black windows or ice i have a perfect stereo at home every night me and the kids gather round the wireless and tune into the archers......nice
Wasnt saying you are on commission or anything just that you will be one of the first to have the maxogen and you cant dismiss other proven products like teh viper or BMC CDA until you have tried yours and seen what it does like those have with the others.
I myself went for the CDA as it was the only option for my valver and had to have throttle body adaptor made to use it. Think someone is getting the maxogen made for their valver and then we can maybe do a comparison.
itg sent me a copy of the r.r results of a 172 with a maxogen fitted but i think i binned it, anyway i think it showed 6 or 7 brake increase not at peak revs but 4500rpm ish. i will be tempted when they eventually sort out the production of it.
That does look very much like the maxogen wayne, though there appears to be a couple of changes from the ones ive seen
have recently been in contact with the development team at ITG and they inform me that they (Mark fish Motorsport) are having trouble with the lack of space around the throttle body
dont get 2 hung up on r/r results! the operator can easily adjust the max.power figure 2 make u happy with ur new purchase, and u wouldnt even know the difference
