After this terrible thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=242895

My car is now back on the road. This is what i needed to do to get the car on the road.(After one week and one day)

Parts:
New D-Type engine, (milage unknown) due to the big ends going in old engine.
Welded downpipe pin hole.
New centre section.
8l of Oil.
New Sump.
New gasket for sump.
New 4l Gearbox oil.
New "Standard" Battery (No longer a renault battery, its generic now).
New earth cable.
New Postive and Negative Terminal clips.
Gasket sealant.
New O/S Driveshaft and roll pin.
New Alternator belt.
New Oil Filter

What happened:
Lifted out engine from car,
Dismantled engine, swapped over fuel injection system etc.
Put engine back in car,
Attached O/S Driveshaft
Connected gearlink linkage.
Connected sump to car, and filled with oil.
Filled Gearbox oil.
Attached downpipe and centre section with standard exhaust.
Started car with no spark plugs to make it turn over faster.
Put sparks in...

Car started first time.

So now my car works, well at least for now. Ill take pictures when i go home tonight and show you my work.

Im happy i did all this work, it makes me confident i can do more than before. :)

Excellent work, even if i only spent 4 hours after work each night and two full weekend days. :approve:

i remeber how gutted i was when i blew up my dynamique, but it was actually brilliant fun servicing the new engine and dropping it in! and the feeling i got when i turned the key and heard the powerflow growl straight away!!

Cool my only concern is 8l of oil bit, I hope you meant to type 5!

Good stuff doing it yourself though

No 8l. Basically the new engine had a leak on the sump when it was on the car. So i used 4l of oil on that, small self tapper screw and a bit of araldite., ran the engine for a day(well 3/4 hours). Then took the sump of the old engine, and replaced current sump with old sump. So the oil was then replace due to the sump being changed.

So 8l of oil in total.
